Paranormal / ghosthunts
What do you all think??? I got talked into a ghosthunt in felixstowe with Ceendee paranormal investigators.I was a skeptic but the evidence on that night changed my whole view. So much so I'm spending Halloween night in Harwich Essex on one of their events, apparently it really haunted and has been on telly, so let me know all your opinions.

I reckon you should give all your bank details to the first Nigerian you meet - for safe keeping, like.

Re: Paranormal / ghosthunts
well its all bollocks, obviously.

the ghost thing has been going on forever and there's not a shred of scientific evidence for it.

That said it is probably a lot of fun, and i'd sign up for it for a laugh.

What have ghosts ever done?

I mean, they could wreck proper havoc by collecting passwords and putting them in the wrong hands, for example.

But the worst they do is rearrange furniture and moan a bit.

I’ve got a ghost in my house.

I used to be a sceptic but I have a child’s voice calling “mum“, a child’s hand print that appears on the inside of our kitchen window and whenever we talk about it the lights start to flicker.

I am not alone in seeing this stuff either. There is something strange, in my neighbourhood.

If you're seriously interested in this, the go to person is R. Dean Taylor. I've been listening to him for years and he's got me convinced.

Here's one of his lectures I found online:

People are silly cunts.

There's always a logical explanation, has Scooby Doo taught you lot nothing?

I had a massive hallucination once and it involved a ghost.

If it wasn't a hallucination then I've seen a ghost.

I had been up for 3 days on some quality gear btw...

'There's a ghost in my house' was the first song released on Motown that was sung by a white singer.

The neighbour had some strange thing happen but only when his girlfriend or sister stayed overnight...taps went on,lights went on and they got woken by clapping hands above his head.
His Mum's dog hated coming into the house and growled at the same place above the back door every time they visited - hackles up

My sister died a few years back. She believed in ghosts and used to get quite cross with non-believers. If ghosts can move furniture and operate taps and switches, then they can pick up a pen and write on a wall. Yet none of my sister's family has received a "Ha! Feckers! I told you so..." message from beyond the grave. Trust me, if she could have, she would have.

My Grandmother on my Dads side who I never met was obsessed with the afterlife.

Her Son, my Dads brother Joined the Merchant Navy on the advice of my Grandfather after he did something unlawful. Subsequently, his boat was torpedoed on the way to Norway and he died aged 17 in1940

My Grandmother used to take my dad, then only 11 to seances there are several accounts of some very strange goings on during these seances

My Dad always believed in ghosts but was never scared of them

Re: Paranormal / ghosthunts
The paranormal exists.
By definition, it is what science cannot explain and believe it or not there is a lot that science cannot explain.

For example the "Moon Illusion" - why the moon looks bigger on the horizon when it first rises. At this point, it is no nearer to earth than when it is high in the sky.

Clearly what we see is interpreted in our minds.
I suspect many ghostly phenomena are "real" as far as our perception is concerned.

Which begs the question is there an objective reality?

'believe it or not there is a lot that science cannot explain'

That's the great thing about science; if there's something it cannot explain, it doesn't just make things up.

No , they just call it a Theory

Eerie Descent 12:12 Thu Aug 16
Re: Paranormal / ghosthunts
No, they call something a theory when they have some evidence to back it up. They don't just make things up out of nothing, you twerp.
